Message Thank you for that very helpful suggestion! Initially I wanted to replace all the injectors at once since I've been hearing they all fail sequentially when one starts and wanted to switch to new style for longevity. However, I believe the previous owner change the injectors (old style) about 10-20k miles ago prior to when I got the car so they might have a significant amount of life left in them. I might very well go with what you suggested, and given that it's the #1 injector it seems it'll be the easiest to replace since I've read that specific injector can be changed without dremel grinding of the plenum.

I was wondering though, when the symptoms and CEL came on I wanted to try cleaning the injectors first to see if that would be an easy fix. So I added Chevron fuel injector cleaner and filled my tank up. I drove it around for ~60 miles and the CEL went away and seemed the injector was working again. I drove it for another 60 more miles with no problems. However, when I started the car up in the morning and was driving to the freeway I could feel the problem coming back and sure enough the CEL came back on. I'll be testing the injector's resistance along with checking for wiring issues when I go back home in 2 weeks. Could driving the car for about 180 miles, with fuel injector cleaner and #1 injector not working, result in significantly reducing the life span of the 5 working injectors?
